Kristan & Colin {Our little family}

Do you remember this beautiful couple ?

It's been 2 years since their beautiful day and they're back for the family session.
When Kristan contacted me for their family session we were excited to make it happen. First we were going to go to the beach over the summer, then decided to wait for late September. This session meant so much to them. Especially seeing their little girl, Sasha went missing one week before the scheduled session.
Imagine the frantic feelings of losing your little love and knowing you were "suppose" to have pictures taken over the summer and now she was missing ! Thankfully, Sasha was returned home to her Momma and life is back to normal.

Melissa & Brian

 Let us not love with words or tongue, but with actions and in truth
  ~ John 3:18

This intimate affair was planned in two weeks with two wonderful families. It was evident when the families started entering the church there was a special bond. Not only among the  bride and groom but the entire group. The church was filled with love and an abundance of joy for this beautiful couple.

Proceeding the ceremony was a quaint gathering at the brides parent's house which included a champagne toast, dancing and lots of laughing. The groom is an avid Pool and Poker player, so it seemed fitting to capture this image, what a fun couple !

Legend has it that the left ring finger has the only vein that runs directly to the heart, which is supreme to all else. The brain and center of the soul.

A girl and her horse .....

With an overwhelming schedule, twin 1st graders starting school and a full time job, I must admit I have neglected my blog. Though this client has already seen and purchase her images, I had to share this beautiful session !

I have known Ms. Emily since she was a very small child. She always had the sweetest smile and the softest voice. I've watch her grow into the young lady that she is today. I've spoken with her Mom about how fast she is growing, especially when she went for her drivers license and how she was becoming more and more active with working at the barn and riding Knight. I knew that Emily would rather be at the barn than be anywhere else.

I had seen Emily ride Knight at the Woodstock Fair and I saw how she interacted with him. But it wasn't until this Senior Portrait Session did I truly see the bond between these two. Being an animal lover myself, I picked up right away on the body movement, and the smiles - especially when they looked at each other {something no one else can understand, unless you've had that special connection with an animal}

This session captured so much of this young ladies beauty ! Both on the inside and out. You should be very proud of yourself Emily ~ you're a wonderful young lady !
Best of luck in all that you do !!!!!

Ms. Ila { senior preview}

I've said it before and I'll say it again {probably a couple hundred more times} I absolutely love having Senior photo sessions. Firstly, it gives me great pride to know these young people trust me with such an important milestone in their life ! I remember my own senior portrait session and it was a far cry from any I have had the pleasure of shooting.

If you were lucky you were able to have a couple of images outside and a couple in studio, with the typical pose { head tilt, hand lightly resting on cheek - lol} I take a lot of pride in my seniors and I love being creative with them and trying new idea, some that I have concocted in my head, other ideas from the clients.

Usually with in the first 10 minutes I have a pretty good feel for the session, I realize what they can/will not be up for. Well, with this session we could have climbed to the top of a tree and shot this session.
Ila and her mom & sister aka "the hecklers" were so much fun to be around ! Laughing and reminiscing   about her Mom's own senior portrait was priceless ! Oh how times have changed !!
I hope you enjoy your 2012 Senior Portrait Session Ila ! You were a pure joy and I can't wait to work with you again !

Best Friends { Senior Preview Ms. K}

I had the pleasure of meeting this young lady and her best friend Nalick. When I first entered the barn and met them for the first time I was in aw when I saw the beauty in both of them. Ms. K was prepping Nalick for the session and I knew within seconds this was going to be an afternoon I would thoroughly enjoy.

People that know me best, know that I grew up on a farm and being around horses brings me right back to my roots. I feel the love between horse & owner and this session was no different. I love the smell {yes I said it, the smell } of the barn, the sound of his hoofs walking down the road and the nays.

It gives me great joy to present this preview. It warms my heart to see the enthusiasm in this young lady, your world is just beginning ! Follow your heart and you will find yourself exactly where you are suppose to be.

Enjoy your preview Ms. K & Nalick !

Three Beauties { The L Family }

I have failed miserably with blogging my beautiful clients these past couple of months.
After a very stormy and rainy night, the sky opened up to a lovely late summer afternoon and we had the best time skipping and laughing through the park.

Enjoy your preview Ms. D, O & A !
