Can't think of a better way to kick off a great weekend, then to have a session with this beautiful family. Hard to believe I've known Mrs. F since we were in kindergarten, grew up together, graduated from HS and continue to be living only 500 feet away from each other. A bit odd to realize that we have our own families now to raise, yet some how still feel so young ! Time sure does fly !

Amazing Ms A

This was a fun session ! I love the energy that comes along with a dancer and this was no exception. Ms A is a talented and beautiful dancer ! I know she will be very successful in all that she does, her confidence is abundant and she has the heart of a dancer !

Valentine Cutie ~

I love red, I love Valentine's Day and I love . . .well, love. The way it overtakes you, even if you try to deny it, how it sneaks up on you and pulls you in. It's an amazing force ~ love. This little cutie will be breaking hearts for years to come. 

Canty Dance Centre 8th Annual Winter Showcase

Once again I had the privilege to attend a CDC event, this event was Winter Showcase. The half year version of Recital. I would like to say that covering Showcase had the same affect on me as last years June recital did. The overwhelming amount of spirit, commitment, talent and desire was present. 

Not only are these events full of creativity, fun and talent, they are filled with the warmth of a Sunday family dinner at your gram's house. Each and every member of CDC elude love and commitment ! Commitment from the dancers, teachers, parents, families, friends and of course Ms. Erin. 

Being the mom of 3 young children, a loving wife and the owner of CDC, she amazes me at all that she accomplishes ! She is always right there to help with any problem that arises and she does it with a smile. It is clear to me that CDC holds many of Ms Erin's values and it shows each time the CDC dancers get on stage. Full of smiles and enthusiasm ! 

Even though mother nature decided to give us some snow for our Winter Showcase, kind of fitting? The show went off with out a hitch and was an afternoon filled with many creative, high energy, dance routines.

Valentine Sweetie

I hold this little man dear to my heart. He is a bundle of laughs and joy. No one would know this little man was fighting a stomach bug this day. It's hard to believe he is already 5 months old - yet at the same time it feels as if he has been here forever. It makes me so happy to photograph each step of this little man's journey.

7 kids

I love when my special clients book a session, and the images will be used as a gift. It's even nicer to have them contact me and ask me to put them on my blog !  This was a very special Christmas gift session. Grama had bought all of the kids their Christmas pj's (as she does each year) but this year she was going to get a picture of them all together ! This group ranged  from 7wks to 5 and a half years old. I knew this would be a challenge, but I also knew if I could just let them be "kids" and be themselves, everything else would fall into place. There were many different personalities that morning, but one common denominator - they adored each other !
It was so refreshing to have all these little ones, along with their moms all gathered in a room together, chatting and laughing and just having fun ! It was a great way to spend a Saturday morning.

THe H Kids

I know I say this almost each time  I post about siblings, but I have no other way to describe these three other than fun and full of excitement ! Ms. C as the serious one. She knew to be  done with this session all she had to do was pay attention and cooperate. Mr. A & Mr. R were way more interested in being . . . well boys ! Having fun and telling jokes and making boy noises ! It never cease to amaze me just how much I smile during these sessions. What a great bunch of kids !! Enjoy !
